Simply the Best Toastmasters Club presents Spooky Tales

South Sacramento’s Simply the Best Toastmaster Club will host ‘Spooky Tales’ on Friday, Oct. 28, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. All physicians and employees are invited to join the fun, dress in costume (optional), and get a glimpse into what Toastmasters is all about. RSVP to susan.e.eisberg@kp.org to receive a calendar invite to the Teams live session.

The Simply the Best Toastmasters Club is open to any and all interested South Sac Employees and physicians and is a part of Wellness University’s Best Me Pathways program. Wellness University credits through Best Me Pathways are awarded for attendance at each meeting.

Check out the impact Toastmasters has made on Sue Eisberg, Safety Operations Practice Leader and one of the club leads:

“I had known about Toastmasters for years and always said I would try it someday.  After giving what I call my “ummmm speech of all time” – in front of around 500 people – I received some feedback from a colleague that I should try Toastmasters. That was my sign from above. We talk a lot about resiliency at KP and this was my moment. I could crawl under a rock and hide, or I could learn from the experience and seek out to help to improve my public speaking skills. Thankfully I chose the latter. I’ve been a Toastmaster now for over 10 years, and it has been one of my most rewarding growth experiences. The great thing about Toastmasters is, it’s not just for becoming a better speaker, it also helps you be a better leader.  The Toastmasters program has so many different ‘pathways’ from which you can learn, including dynamic leadership, strategic relationships, and presentation mastery to name just a few.  Being in a Toastmasters club gives you the opportunity to practice and learn in a safe and supportive environment, while focusing on the areas you like to improve. I hope to see you this Friday!”
