Mindful Martial Arts
Join us for Mindful Martial Arts, a practice that helps build confidence and inner strength, while meditation improves your ability to regulate your nervous system and maintain a balanced mind. Combining both martial arts and meditation provides you with incredible skills and enhances overall well-being.
This 6-week movement & mindfulness series runs every Thursday from Jan. 16-Feb. 20, 5:30 p.m. at the Bruceville Center, SSC.
Presented by Michael Fong, from Roots to Wings Yoga, you will learn effective self-defense techniques in a meditative way, while improving your coordination, reaction time, and your ability to breathe under pressure. This practice involves balance drills, striking techniques, partner exercises, and ends with seated meditation.
Open to KP staff and physicians, all fitness levels are welcome and no experience necessary. Bring your water bottle, comfortable shoes and be ready to move. For each class you attend, you will earn 1 Wellness University credit.
No pre-registration is required, but you must scan to sign-in for each class to complete a waiver and receive your activity code.
