In-person Healing Circle

In-person Healing Circle

Connect and support each other with a Healing Circle

Are you feeling overwhelmed, experiencing moral injury, or on a personal path? Consider being part of a Healing Circle, a well-being activity that will provide you an opportunity to step into a safe community of sharing and generous listening. Circles are deeply rooted in the traditional practices of indigenous people in North America. The process is, at its essence, story sharing, which brings together people as equals…to have open exchanges about difficult issues or painful experiences in an atmosphere of respect and concern for everyone. For thousands of years, humans have gathered around campfires and in ceremonial spaces to discuss, laugh, learn, pray, and work within community for the highest good.  Healing Circles allow us to step out of ordinary time into a safe and accepting environment in which each of us can explore our own healing. It is an invitation to discover a deeper way of being together, protected by agreements.

For 2025 we will be hosting virtual and in-person healing circles each quarter at:

  • 12:30 p.m. virtually on Teams
  • 5 p.m. in person at HOS CR 3, South Sacramento.

This structured session will feature trained facilitators Huyen Friedlander, LMFT, EAP Consultant, and Deborah Conway, Project Leader, Permanente Medical Group. Each circle is limited to 10 people on a first-come, first-served basis.
