Belong@KP

As one of the most diverse service areas in Northern California, KP South Sacramento is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all. An environment where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and cared for. That’s why we strongly encourage all of our leaders, physicians, and employees to take Part 1 of the Belong@KP learning journey in 2022.

Supporting our Simply the Best Culture

Please help strengthen our Simply the Best culture and support our vision to be the best place to work and receive care by completing Part 1 of Belong@KP by year end.

Everyone who completes Part 1 will be invited to a Monthly iBelong@KP drop-in event with opportunities to give testimonials and photos that will be featured in future promotions.  Gifts and treats will be provided, and opportunities to win additional prizes.

Depending on your role and how you like to learn, and the time you have, you have a few options on how you can complete the 3 Modules of Part 1: Break Bias, Cultivate Belonging, and Respect Every Voice.

All three modules must be completed to successfully complete Part 1 of Belong@KP. Be sure to see the exciting incentives for reaching our Belong@KP goals at bottom.

1. Complete the 20-minute Video-Based Learning Series on KP Learn by Dec. 31, 2022.

  1. Module 1: Break Bias — Enroll for a 20-minute video-based learning
  2. Module 2: Cultivate Belonging — Enroll for a 20-minute video-based learning
  3. Module 3: Respect Every Voice — Enroll for a 20-minute video-based learning

Or

2. Attend local and live 60-minute Teams workshops on the 3rd Thursday of every month through November 2022.

  1. Module 1 – Break Bias (June 16, Sept 15)
  2. Module 2 – Cultivate Belonging (July 21, Oct 20)
  3. Module 3 – Respect Every Voice (Aug 18, Nov 17)

Incentives:

Everyone who completes Part 1 will be invited to monthly drop in celebrations, where they can pick up a gift, treats, enter a raffle for cool KP swag, and, if they choose, have their photos taken and do brief video testimonials about what it means to Belong@KP. These drop-in events will be held the 4th Thursdays, 11:30am-1pm:

  • June 23
  • July 28
  • August 25
  • September 22

Departments that complete 50% by Sept. 15 will earn a Food Truck event in the fall. A special event will be held if our service area hits goal by Nov. 1.

As a people leader with at least 1 direct report, you have a few options on how you can complete the 3 Modules of Part 1: Break Bias, Cultivate Belonging, and Respect Every Voice. All three modules must be completed to successfully complete Part 1 of Belong@KP.

1. Via KP Learn — 60 minute Recorded Workshops or 90-minute Live Workshops on KP Learn by Dec. 31, 2022.

60-minute Recorded Workshops:

  1. Module 1: Break Bias — Enroll for the 60-minute recorded workshop
  2. Module 2: Cultivate Belonging — Enroll for the 60-minute recorded workshop
  3. Module 3: Respect Every Voice — Enroll for the 60-minute recorded workshop

90- minute Live Workshops:

  1. Module 1: Break Bias — Sign up for a 90-minute live workshop
  2. Module 2: Cultivate Belonging — Sign up for a 90-minute live workshop
  3. Module 3: Respect Every Voice — Sign up for a 90-minute live workshop in 2022

Or

2. Attend local and live 60-minute Teams workshops on the 3rd Thursday of every month through November 2022

Other Options (TBD, look for more information soon)

  • Intact workshops where all 3 modules are covered in one 90 minute session. These will be held in person – dates TBD
    Can create sessions for individual large departments (TBD)

**All NEO participants starting 4/1 will be assigned the KP Learn sessions with due date of 30 days from NEO.

For KFHP/H leaders and employees, completion of all 3 Modules in Part 1 of Belong@KP is a 2022 Total Performance goal. To achieve our service area goal of reaching the “excellent” rating, 100% of leaders* and 50% of employees needing to complete all 3 Modules of Part 1 by Dec. 31, 2022.
